Camp Horizon is a day camp for children between the ages of 6-16, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The goal is for the children to feel less isolated and learn ways to help them deal with their grief. As they meet other children who have had similar experiences, they are able to interact in a fun, safe and caring environment. The camp blends traditional camp fun with grief activities such as exploring the memories of those campers have lost, learning coping skills and participating in creative projects.
Our 2013 Camp is Saturday, August 24. For more information, download our brochure and registration packet. Deadline for registration is August 14, 2013.
Do you have a passion for helping children? Volunteers for camp counselors and staff are also needed! Learn more by downloading a licensed counselor or volunteer form. All applicants must complete a background check prior to camp.
